Old Bens, one of the oldest soccer playing clubs in the country, is the only Club from many Old Boys Clubs in the country to field a Team in the Premiere Division Soccer tournament conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka for past 04 decades & have taken part in all  major tournaments continuously. We have produced many international players & 03 national Coaches in the past. Many old boys have coached other schools & leading clubs in the country. We are the table leaders in the Segment-B of the Dialog premiere league . Out of 08 matches played so far we have won 06 drew 01 & lost 01 & have entered the second round. We beat some tough opponents like Kalutara Park SC  twice, Cooray SC twice, golden Star SC, Sarasavi SC won the 2nd time & lost the first round  & drew against Red Sun SC. In March 2008 we won the City Football League Division 1 tourney after a lapse of 13 years. In the FA Cup we lost to Air Force in the Quarter Final on a penalty shoot out.

The Club team at present is jointly coached by former Sri Lanka  & College Capt. Damodaram Chandrasiri, (well known as Raja) who is also the National Junior & National Coach along with former College & Old Bens Captain Jayantha Wanigasooriya who have both been tirelessly taking on the pool in turns, training them the Brazillian technique they learned from  famous College coaches namely Late Mr. Albert Fernando & Mr. Edward Jayawardene who later coached the National Team.
 
In order to remain in the Premiere Division & due to the difficulties faced by college leavers to attend practices regularly due to employment commitments we were compelled to hire many professional players from outside to represent the club to maintain the required standard. In the pool of 25 players there are 06 old boys  04 young Bens (college players). The players namely are Old Bens, Roshan Menaka (OB), Janaka Shivantha(OB),Thejan Fernando(OB) Ravikumar Alphonso (OB), Dexter Bernard(OB), Dennis Dissanayake & young Bens namely Tharindu Rukmal, Madushanka Rajapaksha, Sameera Sampath, Nissanka Madushanka. The vision of the club  is to work with the college on a plan to have 100%  Bens players in the team in the near future.

The  Soccer Wing is headed by former College & Old Bens Captain Randolph Perera,  Managed by Old Ben R A Premil who are assisted by Soccer Secretary of the Club Peter De Croos
